A/G is an excellent sealant designed to lower torque requirements and is an excellent lubricant accomplishing proper make-up quickly with minimum torque. This sealant is also designed dot eliminate wear and galling on stainless threaded connections. It is equally effective on other exotic materials as well as non- ferrous alloys and may also be used on more common types of carbon steel. A/G has passed both the "Shrimp Test" (Drilling Fluid Toxicity Test) and the Static Sheen Test in accordance with EPA standards.

A/G contains a high percentage of PTFE flake to seal off the leak path and prevent passage of liquids or gases at pressures up to 20,000 psi. Contains no metals or other ingredients which may be hygienically or environmentally harmful.

In demonstrations, a variety of threads have been pressed into distorted shapes, flattened by hammering and otherwise ruined. In each case, A/G reformed the threads to their original shape and made the mating surfaces smooth and even. In one instance, a 316 stainless bolt was used to chase new threads in an aluminum block!

A/G is an excellent lubricant. In many cases this means that the connection can be tightened until a metal to metal seal is achieved without galling. This reduced friction under pressure means that proper make-up can be achieved quicker and with less torque. A/G is recommended for use as a thread compound in applications such as bolted joints, pipe and fittings. Eliminates teflon tape. Recommended for temperatures not exceeding 550°F.
